Jaco Pretorius

Jaco is the craftsman behind Proudly African Leathercraft. Every piece that leaves the workshop is cut, stitched and finished by him — which is also why a custom piece is discussed directly with the person making it.

“I am a 70-year-old craftsman and writer living in Ballito, South Africa. My days are spent at the workbench with leather and at the keyboard, where my thoughts take shape. I love fitness and have to balance all of this as a fitness-loving diabetic.”
